Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is a predominant figure in the Highland Maya Town because he is linked to the history of the ‘rum’, an alcoholic drink meant to empower the locals to serve God, bring harmony, and unify people. Initially, Jesus introduced chichi and purposed to bless it to have a powerful influence among his people. However, The Devil was trickier and intoxicated Jesus to bless the wrong rum.

The Devil comes up with his drink and makes Jesus drink it. After drinking it, Jesus becomes drunk and blesses the wrong drink introduced by the Devil. As a result, instead of empowering people, the drink made men unproductive and useless members of society.
