Videodrome
Max and Nikki sleep together after watching Videodrome and Max's apartment transforms into the Videodrome set. This imagery reveals to us that what we allow to influence us becomes our reality.
Gun Hand
Max pulls the gun out of the slit in his stomach and it pierces through his hands and connects permanently to his body. The imagery shows us the violence that becomes Max because of the insidious nature of the content he watches on Videodrome. He becomes consumed by it rather than him simply consuming it.
Pulsating Tape
Max has a pulsating video tape put inside of the slit in his stomach by the corporation running Videodrome. This imagery shows the violently demanding nature of the corporation to insert their corrupt ideology into people to fulfill the work they won't do themselves hands-on.
O'Blivion
O'Blivion only makes appearances by being seen on a television set. This imagery shows us that he has become one with the television as it is now his only way to experience his life. Real life is no longer enough, and we discover this is somewhat true as O'Blivion has been dead for some time and all that remains of him are tapes of him talking.
