How does the language of Titus Andronicus compare to that of other Shakespeare plays that you’ve read?
In keeping with the fact that Titus Andronicus is one of Shakespeare's earliest plays, some students may feel upon reading it that the language comes off as a little bit coarser or less sophisticated than in other plays. Others may feel that they notice significant continuities co-existing alongside significant discontinuities (some readers of the play think that Shakespeare co-authored it with George Peele).
