This Fight Is Our Fight Summary

This Fight Is Our Fight Summary

The basic message of Elizabeth Warren’s This Fight Is Our Fight is that America as a country is broken and is not serving all Americans. She uses her book to highlight areas of concern and proposes policies that can solve these issues.

Warren delves into many issues that are very topical in the American political scene in this day and age. She addresses America’s strengths and weaknesses. For example, she discusses the crises facing America’s middle class, the issue of minimum wage that is making it impossible for workers to cross the poverty line, how climate change is going about unaddressed, the inequality of trickle-down economics etc.

She points out America’s strength as being its citizens overwhelming majority that wants change and is willing to take action to address these issues. She also discusses the roles of certain civilians in America’s political environment and some of the Trump administration’s more questionable nominations and appointments such as Rex Tillerson and Betsy DeVos.

The book essentially lays out Warren’s political convictions and proposals and is insightful especially with the fast-approaching 2020 elections, in which she is a candidate.
