The Witching Hour Characters

The Witching Hour Character List

Rowan Mayfair

The most recent Mayfair witch descendant, Rowan has lived her entire life not knowing about her family history. She dedicated herself to becoming a doctor and helping save lives. This decision was mostly prompted by Rowan's dangerous psychic abilities, which she unknowingly used to hurt people who hurt her in the past.

After her adoptive parents' deaths, Rowan is left completely alone in the world, until she meets Michael. She immediately feels a strong connection to Michael, especially because of the contrast between his brawny appearance and vulnerable nature.

Michael Curry

Michael Curry grew up in New Orleans with a protective mother and an indifferent father. From a young age, Michael was different from his peers. He was interested in literature and studying and dreaming of a better life.

After his father's death, he moves to San Francisco with his mother, where he accomplishes all his goals and becomes a successful home renovator. But, his life takes a turn after he dies and comes back to life on the sea, and gains psychic abilities and a spiritual mission.

Aaron Lightner

Aaron Lightner is a man with psychic abilities working with Talamasca, an organization that explores the paranormal. He is a historian of the Mayfair family, collecting and chronologically organizing every piece of information he could find about that family's history.

He observes Michael and Rowan from afar until they come to New Orleans. Furthermore, he has seen the man, Lasher.

Lasher

Lasher is the Man, the demon, the existence that has been a part of the Mayfair witches since Susannah. Susannah is the one who called him into existence, and he has "served" the Mayfair witches since then.

But, it soon becomes clear that Lasher has a plan of his own, and his serving of the strongest Mayfair witch only ever leads to their destruction and corruption.
