The Whisper
The Whisper is a symbol of unity and tranquility. The children connect with each other through the Whisper and gain knowledge and a sense of unity. Together they can fight against those pushing them into war. Only together will they be able to unite the North and the South without war. The connection gives the children a sense of tranquility and the courage to fight.
The Roar
The Roar is the symbol of chaos. When the children are upset, their emotions cause a roar within their minds. This roar keeps them from being able to focus and concentrate on their mission. It is chaotic and causes tension within them, which is the opposite of the comfort that the whisper instills.
The Shadows
The Shadows are a symbol of deceit. The area is covered in water and quickly filling with mold and disease. This is eating away at the once prosperous city of London. This decay is ignored by the government even though people live in these conditions. The government allows it because they are concerned only with their own luxuries and fighting to make their way to the South. Their deceit to their people is seen in the decaying city that surrounds the poor.
The Wall
The Wall is a symbol of separation. He separates the prosperous South from the desolate North. The rich reside in the South where they can protect nature from the poor who they blame for the destruction of the natural resources. The rich tricked the people to believe that there was a plague in the South and only the North was safe. The people in the North live mostly in poor conditions except for those who control the government who built above the city to get away from the poor. The Wall keep the people in the North from seeing that they have been jilted from their homes for no reason. It keeps them ignorant of the deception around them.
Borgs
The borgs are a symbol of repression. They are stationed to keep the people of the North out of the South. They patrol the Wall and the grounds in the South. They are programmed to attack people who do not have a tag to show that they are of the South. This is to keep anyone from making it across the wall into the futile land of the South and disrupting the lives that the rich have acquired.
