Structure:
Divide students into groups of varying sizes (no fewer than 3, up to 5 or 6). Provide them with a list of the following scenes:
• Peachum and Filch's dialogue in Act One, Scene 1
• A section of dialogue before Polly and Mac's wedding in Act One, Scene 2
• Polly and Mac's dialogue in Act Two, Scene 4
• The dialogue between Peachum and Brown at the end of Act Two
• The conversation among Peachum, Mrs. Peachum, and Jenny at the beginning of Act Three
