Structure:
Begin with a discussion of how the novel ends. Discuss with students:
Why did the Price family return to Africa?
What do the Prices hope to find in the Congo both literally and figuratively?
What do the Prices find instead?
Does the family get closure?
How would the tone change if the Prices were able to find Ruth May's grave and get closure?
