Analyze Voice and Purpose

Students will be able to analyze Kingsolver's use of voice
Common Core Standards:
CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.11-12.4
Structure:
Begin class with a review of the following literary terms: voice, syntax, diction, and tone. After defining the terms, break the class into groups. Each group will choose or be assigned one character to focus on.
Have students choose a passage from today's reading for their assigned character. In groups, have students select lines that exemplify each literary term above and write a justification for that example.
