Enacting Dialogue

Objective:
Students read aloud dialogue from the book to bring to life their understanding of the text.
Common Core Standards:
CCSS.ELA.LITERACY..RL.9-10.3 CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.9-10.7
Structure:
Have pairs of students rehearse and read aloud for the class a part of the dramatic dialogue in Chapter 11, which begins "Good evening, Guenever" and ends with the last lines of the chapter. This is a long dialogue and may be divided up among student pairs.
Student pairs should rehearse until they feel that they can project the tone and intent of each character's dialogue.
