The Theme of Corruption

Corruption is prevalent in the town of Bangkok. People are used to committing crimes and evade justice due to corruption. Corrupt police officers help offenders win court cases and deny justice to victims of crime. Don causes a road accident but is acquitted for any wrongdoing. He crashes and kills a child instantly but is not convicted because he is the son of a diplomat. Likewise, Marisa is given a job corruptly by pi O, a tycoon who has invested in the entertainment industry.

The Theme of Morality

People in this town have lost their morals and indulged in prostitution. Most of the young people engage in sexual activity in exchange for payment. The town is full of prostitutes who involve themselves in sex for money. The greediness of power and money also shows the immorality within the town. Pi O gets money through unscrupulous means. He wants to enrich himself to the disadvantage of society. Such a kind of voracity indicates immorality. Moral decay witnessed in the town is of the highest degree.

The Theme of Revenge

The theme of revenge is displayed when the town is inundated by floods. Naga, a mythical spirit of water, sweeps across the town, destroying properties and lives. Naga is revenging against the wrongdoings committed by the townspeople. The iniquities committed by people prompt Naga to take action. The degeneration of morals in society annoys Naga. As a consequence, the mythical spirit decides to revenge to punish the residents.
