Don, Arun, and Marisa are the three main characters displayed in The Naga’s Journey by Tew Bunnag. Don is a diplomat’s son who has got an accident while drunk. As a result, he kills a child on the spot. Don is not prosecuted for this offense because a high-ranking official has helped him escape the consequences. Afterward, Don becomes a monk before leaving to become a social worker. Arun is an artist. Marisa is a movie star. The three characters meet at the pi O funeral. Each of them narrates his/her links with the deceased. Don was helped by the dead man to escape justice. Arun is pi O’s nephew. Marisa was introduced to her career by the dead man.

The narration of the three characters makes them develop a strong relationship. The events of the past make them stronger. Even when the floods seep the city, Don, Arun, and Marisa are unmoved. The three characters choose to stay together. The reader gets insight into how prostitution and corruption have engulfed society. Townspeople have no morals. The dead man was referred to as Sex Czar due to his sexual escapades. All the wrongdoings occurring in the town come to an end when a destructive flood sweeps across the town. Naga, a mythical powerful spirit of water, punishes the towns’ inhabitants due to their sins. The book warns readers about moral degradation in society. Wrongful deeds have consequences.
