Students will do online research and then analyze,and evaluate and compare the atmospheres of Mars and Earth. They will draw conclusions about the scientific validity of people living openly on Mars.

The Martian Chronicles presents a scenario in which people can live in the open on Mars, a scenario that assumes that the Martian atmosphere is similar enough to Earth's that breathing is possible without added oxygen.
