Chapter 5: Back on This Side of the Door
Instead of corroborating Lucy’s story and telling the others that Narnia does truly exist, Edmund decides to lie and tell them that it was all make-believe. Hearing Edmund's lie, Lucy runs out of the room. Edmund tries to blame it on her being a “young kid” but Peter reprimands him. He says that Lucy is indeed either “going queer in the head or turning into a most frightful liar”, but that Edmund’s cruelty is not helpful either way.
