Feminism
Equality for women has always been a global problem, and in this book, the main heroine is also fighting for women’s rights. Lisbeth is a feminist, who is ready to stand up for women and punish all abusers. This hatred is growing every day and it begins from her childhood, when her father cruelly tortures her mother. After Nils Bjurman, Lisbeth’s guardian, rapes her, Lisbeth decides that she will destroy everyone who will cause pain to women. One word of feminist can cause much hatred and criticism, feminists struggle for succession between the genders. The feminism and its important aspects are raised in Larsson’s book. The writer tries to open truth for his readers about the huge amount of problems, which need solutions.
Family
When you have a family, you are both rich and happy at the same time. You realize that somebody cannot live without you in this world and this thought makes you infinitely happy. However, this happiness does not concern our main heroine. She experiences so much sadness and difficulty, but Lisbeth does not give up; she was not lucky with her family and this factor has a huge influence on her emotional condition and attitude to everything. Tenderness, caring and affection are absent in her behavior and she is insensitive. Nevertheless, her justice still helps other people and this support makes readers happy. The poor attitude of Lisbeth’s father to her and her mother gives her the right to judge all men and break their hopeless fates.
Courage
The main characters are so courageous that they are not even afraid to look into death’s eyes. Courage is a positive quality of a person, which allows struggling with evil. Lisbeth always shows her courage: she expresses her opinions and deals with people, who want to destroy her; she does not fear her father, who buries his daughter alive in the ground. Mikael is also full of boldness, because the profession of a journalist is very dangerous. Nevertheless, he does not renounce his job and tries to see investigations through to the end.
