The Female Persuasion

The Female Persuasion Analysis

Greer is a first-year student, who meets Faith Frank, a feminist. She is inspired by Faith’s speech about feminism. After graduation, Greer tries to find her way in the world. Besides, as an adult, she fights for power and betrayal. Faith is a feminist who fights for women's rights. Upon getting a chance to interact with Faith, Greer gets an opportunity to fight for women empowerment. Greer is against violation of women's rights. She believes that women should not suffer in a male-dominated society. Her activism may be started when she declined a frat boy’s sexual advances. When she was a freshman, a frat bot tried to seduce her in vain. In retaliation, the boy acted violently towards her by twisting her breast.

The protagonists in this novel are fighting for women empowerment. Ironically, at some point, the so-called feminists betray their close friends. For instance, Greer betrays her friend Zee and fails to stand up for her at the time of need. Greer blocks Zee from getting a job at their company. Besides, Faith betrays Greer when she fails to act on allegations of women being cuckolded by a PR company.

Greer and Faith are fighting for women empowerment, but at some point, they fall out. The difference between the two women shows how females tend to outdo one another while still fighting for their rights. Eventually, Greer gets married and lead a happy life.
