The rehabilitation camps are supposed to protect the children and the people around them, but instead they are killing and harming them.
Chubs
Chubs is a name usually used for "chubby" people, but is used for a tall skinny boy instead.
Dr. Begbie
Dr. Begbie is supposed to harm Ruby, to find out her true "colors", but turns out to be Kate instead, trying to save her.
PFS
The PFS's are supposed to find and "save" the children, but are instead capturing and killing them.
The irony of freedom
Ruby talks a lot about freedom, and tries to find it with Liam, but in the end she removes all his memories of her, thereby taking away his freedom to chose whom he wants to be together with.
