Objective:
To understand the concept of a protagonist and the mutability of that seemingly central idea

Structure:
Divide the students into small groups and assign each group a character from the novel Each group will have to argue to the class that this character is the protagonist of the novel. Groups should argue for Oscar, Yunior, Lola, Belicia, Abelard, and maybe even Trujillo as the true center of the book.
