Objective:
To understand the history of writing as a form of resistance and/or control over one's own cultural history
Common Core Standards:
CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.CCRA.R.2; CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.CCRA.W.10
Structure:
Each student should choose and research another work of literature in which a native of a country critiques the political culture of that country. (For instance: Gulliver's Travels, 1984, Fahrenheit 451, The Hunger Games.)
