Answer
Answer (c).
The transmission of sound through the internal ear occurs mainly through cochlear fluid(s)
Work Step by Step
Sound waves from the exterior reach the organ of hearing ( the ear)-- and impinge on ( vibrate) the tympanic membrane ( ear drum) . From the ear drum, the sound waves are propagated through the ear ossicles ( malleus, incus, and stapes). The stapes , which is fixed to the oval window, vibrates that structure. . The medial side of the oval window is in contact with the fluid filled structures of the inner ear and transmits its vibrations to the cochlear fluid, . These vibrations are translated into nerve impulses in the Organ of Corti. These impulses are then sent to the brain for interpretation.
