Once Dresden turns eighteen years old, DuMorne tries to initiate him and his girlfriend into his cult. Elaine falls victim to DuMorne’s powers and agrees to join his cult. Dresden strikes a bargain with his dead grandmother for more power. He defeats DuMorne but fails to rescue Elaine. Dresden’s powers grow over time making him one of the most powerful wizards. He utilizes these powers to aid the local police department in handling paranormal activities. He also works as a private investigator.

Monica is married to Victor Sells, an amateur wizard. After executing his sister-in-law, Monica hires Dresden to capture him. She fears her husband will hurt their children if they refuse to join his evil endeavors.
Victor Sells
After losing his job, Victor learns of his extraordinary talents. He starts practicing dark magic and becomes obsessed with power. With his supernatural power, Victor manufactures a powerful drug called ThreeEye. The drug allows humans to access their third sight but causes toxic side effects. He killing his sister-in-law and goes into hiding.
