What is the significance of Kylo Ren and Han Solo's relationship?
Kylo Ren's relationship to Han Solo is significant because he is Solo's son. Kylo believes his father has abandoned him along with his mother, General Leia. He was trained as a Jedi, but went to the dark side and has become very strong in the force creating an opposition to the light that has awoken in the universe.

What is the map that BB-8 has?
BB-8 has found a map that is a specific destination in the universe. We learn that it is a piece of the map which reveals the location of where the last Jedi, Luke Skywalker is. The map represents the hope for the Republic to win the war against the First Order who seems to have grown far stronger in its power.

What is the irony of Finn finding himself joined with the Republic?
Finn, formerly known as Stormtrooper FN-2187, has escaped as a stormtrooper after his inability to kill during a battle. He then comes into contact with the Republic forces which he goes with. The irony of this is that Finn is trying to get as far away from the First Order as possible and as fast as he can, but the Republic fighters he's with only want to get closer to the First Order which means Finn is coming with them.
