    When the sisters make this decision, the narrator comments that this is what all "aristocratically bred" people do, suggesting that the lifestyle of these women is rather indicative of the lifestyle of most aristocrats in this country. This decision tells us that they are rather frivolous and do not understand the value of money. For them, money has never been something they have had to work for, and they expect it to come as soon as it may go.
