Three Kingdoms

A term that refers to the three states of Wei, Shu, and Wu, all of which vied for control of China after the fall of the Han Dynasty.

Dynasty

A bloodline of rulers

Proxy war

A war that is started by a country that never actually fights in it (for example, the Syrian Civil War is considered a proxy war).

Confucianism

A system of thought from Ancient China created by Confucius, which believes in harmony and respect above all.

Truism

Regicide

The act of killing a regent (or king)

Usurpation

The act of staking a claim illegimately or contreversialy to power.

Piety

Being religious.

Filial

Being devoted

Benevolence

Being kind and generous
