The True Woman versus the New Woman

Students will further explore the changing roles of women in society by marketing to both the "True" and "New" Woman.

Structure:
Students will be further exploring the True Woman in contrast to the progressive New Woman.
As homework the night before, the students should have brought examples of 2-3 school-appropriate magazine covers from women's magazines. Divide the class into groups of four and have them briefly discuss the similarities and differences they see in the magazine covers.
