    What parallels are offered between all the women mentioned in "Roman Fever"? What might this imply?

    The story of Mrs. Ansley's Great-aunt Harriet is similar to what happened to Mrs. Ansley herself. Family legend has it that Harriet sent her younger sister out one evening to gather special night-blooming flowers. The two sisters liked the same man, and Harriet intentionally sent her sister out with the hopes of her catching the fever. Harriet's plan worked and her younger sister not only caught the fever but ended up dying from it.
