Harri learns from his book that sharks never sleep: they have to keep swimming or they will die. After relaying this tidbit, Harri describes his dream after trying to talk to fevered Agnes on the phone. In it, he falls into the sea of dead babies and children. He can hear them crying and feel them bumping into him as he swims to save himself, but he can't help any of them. He then hears Agnes screaming his name, but he still can't stop. The only way to save her is for him to hope that one of the waves scoops...
