Please note: This lesson plan was influenced by and drew ideas from the Harvard Fall 2013 course “History and Literature 90av: Revolution and Reform in Britain and France, 1820-1880,” taught by Mo Moulton. The inclusion of “A Night in the Workhouse” as part of the curriculum was drawn directly from the assigned reading of that course, and ideas around the connection between innate goodness and social class were influenced indirectly by discussions conducted in the course.
