Adaptation and Performance (Day 2)

Students will be able to connect the text to the adaptation process

CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RL.5.1, CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RL.5.6, CCSS.ELA-Literacy.SL.5.6
Structure:
Students should return to the previous day's scripts. Give them 10 minutes to rehearse, and then have them perform their adaptations for each other.
After each performance, discuss the choices that the group made. Was the adapted script similar to the scene in the novel that they were interpreting? Where it was different, and why was it different? Did it still capture the ideas of the book? Why did each group choose to...
