Medea has inspired several other works. Among other plays, you might assign Pecong by Steve Carter, The Hungry Woman by Cherrie Moraga, or Medea Redux by Neil LaBute.

Euripides wrote many other plays, such as Iphigenia in Aulis, The Bacchae, and Hecuba. In addition, Medea is situated in a deep tradition of ancient Greek literature. Other famous works include Homer’s The Odyssey and The Iliad as well as Sophocles’ Oedipus Cycle and Aeschylus' The Oresteia.
