Criminal eyes

Keith Talent is like a killer’s dog. His eyes radiate “a certain shinning” – for a moment it is like health, which is hidden or sleeping or lacking because of some mysterious reason. His eyes “often fill with blood and seem to be cold”. Actually, his eyes are shinning with light. But this light is “neither attractive nor encouraging”. His gaze shows “anger”. The image of Keith’s eyes gives an impression of the evil bandit, who has negative habits.

The main victim

Biting her lips, Nicola seems to be “playful and sexual girl”. She is a poor rich little girl with “curly hair and a big smile”. Nicola is not like Cleopatra, but one of “Cleopatra’s best servants in Shakespeare’s play”. Then the final comes and Nicola’s face shows her “sadness and suffering” of life. She is expecting death. The image of Nicola Six gives an impression of the cheerful victim. Even knowing that soon she will die, Nicola is happy, because she will remain young after her death.

The city of depression

The clouds attain their old color, their old English color – “the color of the soft-boiled eggs, which are peeled with the fingers of the city”. Over the past ten years, nothing has changed. London’s pubic atmosphere certainly thickens – “smoke and construction sand, dust and the sharp toilet flavor”, streets are like “some terrifying carpets”. The image of London gives an impression of the undeveloped, gloomy and poor city.
