Jurassic Park (1993 film) Irony

Malcolm

Malcolm is brought to the island in order to join the other scientists in confirming that the theme park is safe. Ironically, he sees that only chaos will ensue as this extinct species was not made for inhabiting the earth with human beings.

Safe and Sound

Hammond sends his grandchildren on the theme park ride with Grant in order for them to have a good time and enjoy the dinosaurs. Ironically, he sends them on a ride that nearly claims their lives and he is nearly powerless to stop it from happening.

Theme Park

Hammond has bioengineering dinosaurs in order to create a tourist attraction for people to come and see them in person. Ironically, dinosaurs didn't exist to be zoo animals; they are made to rule the land and that is what they do given the opportunity.

Bullfrog

To create the dinosaurs, the bioengineers used the DNA from the West African bullfrogs which can change their sex in a single-sex environment, to fill in the gaps to recreate living dinosaurs in our time. Ironically, by doing this, the scientists allowed for breeding to occur when the intention was always to never allow any animal to be capable of breeding as only one sex existed on the island.

Nedry

Hammond has hired Nedry as his high-profile computer specialist to protect the theme park. Ironically, Nedry feels undervalued and because of this is willing to sell dinosaur DNA to the highest bidder. This causes the string of events that leads to the dinosaurs escaping.
