Dak Smyth
Dak Smyth is a main character in the book and the series. He is an 11-year-old boy whose parents are both historians. Dak, being influenced by his parents, considers himself a history nerd.
Sera Froste
Sera froste is Dak's best friend and a science geek; they attend the same school and class and she is also Dak's age. She is about 5 ft 6 inches and is really smart when faced with an inquiry that concerns sciences and especially physics.
Riq Jones
Riq Jones is a 16 year old historian. He is a prodigy in his field, and on top of that he can speak 16 languages fluently. Riq is also sent with Dak and Sera to fix the past; he gets along with Sera but not with Dak.
