Written by author Carrie Ryan, Infinity Ring: Divide and Conquer (published in 2012) tells the story of three kids named Dak, Sera, and Riq and how they try to stop the Vikings from coming into Paris. When Dak gets captured he is forced to work with his enemy the Vikings while Sera and Riq defend Paris from the onslaught of Vikings. Infinity Ring combines history and fiction to tell a story featuring violence, excitement, and intrigue.
When it was released, Infinity Ring received mostly positive reviews. A reviewer from Kirkus Reviews liked the book, saying" The book is a perfectly competent adventure story. It’s hard to go wrong with Vikings." Another reviewer also liked the book very much, saying that "It’s not always easy to bring history to life, but the Infinity Ring series seems to be doing history justice. It also helps that the online component to these books is chock-full of more in-depth information to satisfy all your historian wishes and desires."
