Other novels by E.M. Forster include Where Angels Fear to Tread (1905), The Longest Journey (1907), A Room with a View (1908), A Passage to India (1924), and Maurice (published posthumously in 1971). He also wrote a number of short stories (collected in The Celestial Omnibus and The Eternal Moment), essays, and plays.

Forster was a member of an intellectual group called the Bloomsbury Group which included, among others, the author Virginia Woolf.
