    "What I Believe"

    Group Work

    Objective:

    Students will read a nonfiction essay by E.M. Forster to discover how his personal ideas are reflected in the novel.

    Structure:

    Through the Schlegels, Wilcoxes, and Basts, E.M. Forster explored many of his own beliefs about people, relationships, and ideologies. He explained these beliefs in detail in his essay "What I Believe," previously called "Two Cheers for Democracy."
