Maurizio Gucci
Maurizio is the story’s protagonist, the son of the business Mogul, Rodolfo Gucci. The author depicts Maurizio as a pessimist and coward. Maurizio is less focused on inheriting his father's business empire because he wants to pursue love. When the father tells him not to fall in love with an opportunistic woman, Maurizio defies the advice and marries Patrizia.
Maurizio learns later that his wife does not love him because she is interested in acquiring his inheritance from the Gucci Company. Maurizio gets 50% of the company's inheritance. However, Maurizio has little interest in managing the company, and his skewed decisions almost collapse the once giant global company. When Maurizio starts a sexual relationship with another woman, he asks for a divorce from Patrizia, but she refuses. In the end, Patrizia sends hit men to kill Maurizio.
Patrizia Reggiani
Patrizia is Maurizio's wife, an opportunistic woman interested in Maurizio's inheritance. When Patrizia meets Maurizio, she traps him into marriage. Patrizia knows Maurizio's father hates her, but she gets pregnant as soon as possible. After Adolfo's death, Patrizia forges Adolfo's signatures to enable Maurizio to get 50% of Gucci's inheritance. After the inheritance, Patrizia encourages Maurizio to defraud the other relatives and take the entire ownership of the company. Despite her efforts to acquire control of the company, Patrizia never enjoys the wealth because she is arrested after she kills her husband. As a result, Patrizia spends the rest of her life in prison.
Rodolfo Gucci
Rodolfo is Maurizio's father and the founder and owner of Gucci, an international fashion company based in Italy. Adolfo is a hardworking and strategic man who excels in decision-making and marketing. Due to his hard work, Adolfo builds an international brand worth millions of US dollars. After Adolfo discovers that his son is dating a materialistic woman, he advises him to quit the relationship. When Maurizio refuses to listen to his father, Adolfo removes him from his inheritance. However, when Patrizia gets pregnant, Maurizio's uncle, Aldo, reconciles the couple with Adolfo. After the reconciliation, Adolfo includes Maurizio in his will, but he dies before finishing the process.
Aldo Gucci
Aldo Gucci is Adolfo's brother and Maurizio's uncle. Aldo is Paolo's father, a strict and strategic man who pursues nothing but excellence. After Aldo discovers that Adolfo and his newly wedded son are having a strained relationship, he reconciles them. After Adolfo's death, Aldo and his son Paolo become minority shareholders of Gucci. However, Maurizio manipulates them into selling their shares to him so that he can be the sole owner.
Paolo Gucci
Paolo is an optimistic young man who looks forward to being a designer at Gucci despite having zero skills in the fashion industry. When Paolo gets shares in Gucci as a minority shareholder, Maurizio tricks him into selling his shares. Unfortunately, Paolo dies a poor man despite having the potential to become one of the best global designers.
Paola Franchi
Paola Franchi is Maurizio’s old friend, a romantic and charming woman. When Maurizio and Patrizia’s marriage hits the rocks, he reunites with Paola and begs her for marriage. Maurizio and Paola settle in Switzerland. However, Patrizia refuses to accept a divorce proposal from Maurizio because she believes she is the legitimate wife.
