Eiji Okada
Before working as an actor, Okada served in the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II. However, once the war was lost, he tried to become a salesman, and then an actor. Okada has been in dozens of other movies, not often as starring roles, but this by far is his most pronounced role.

Starring in over 160 films, Fresson was perhaps the most famous actor seen in this movie. One of his notable works was when he acted in a mini series of Les Miserables. Though his name in this movie in French literally translate to "The German", he was a French actor that continued his acting career until the year he died, in 2002.
