Christian, you are the state lottery, the cure for cancer, and the three wishes from Aladdin's lamp all rolled into one.
Anastasia says this to Christian to his question if he is that precious that she would want to wait for him. She replies that he is as good as the state lottery, which is something that has very low odds, and so that makes her extremely lucky, that he is the cure for cancer, which is something not yet found, so desirable but not easily found, and Aladdin's wishes which is something that is not present in real world and can only be fantasized about.
Anastasia. You are my More, my love, my life.
Christian presented Anastasia with an Omega watch with an Inscription having the above words. This a gift from a loving husband to his wife. The main word to notice here is 'more'. More is a sort of codeword between Anastasia and Christian. As in Book I, Anastasia says to Christian that she is not just happy with kinky sex, she wants to have a relationship 'more' than physical. Though Christian is not comfortable with a relationship, he makes an effort and falls in love with her. For them, 'more' in indicative of their want of connection with each other.
In spite of everything, all his Fiftyness, my husband can be so romantic.
Anastasia muses that Christian who is in his own words, Fifty shades of fucked up, which also forms part of the name of the book series, is so romantic. Christian believe he has been traumatized beyond repair and the only way he can survive and channel his anger by having sadist sex. This particular trait of Christian is often referred to as Fifty Shades.
You have gold digger tattooed on your forehead.
Kate says this to Anastasia's remark that Christian's father wanted a prenup for Christian's marriage to Anastasia. Christian is very rich, while Anastasia comes from modest means. If one doesn't know of their love for each other, one could easily assume that Anastasia was after his money and not love.
This is why I like control.
Christian says this to Anastasia when she tells him about her pregnancy. Christian who is not ready to be a father yet, is afraid that they would get busy with the baby and not have time for each other. He says this in response to her previous remarks that he is a control-freak.
