Fifty Shades Freed Metaphors and Similes

Fifty Shades Freed Metaphors and Similes

Life is an ocean (Metaphor)

The life of Anastasia and Christian is a whole ocean with its inhabitants. When everything is perfect in their relationship, their life is the ocean in good weather. When there are many quarrels between them, the ocean rages a bit. However, the appearance of Jack Hyde causes a storm in their life. He destroys peace of the ocean and life of the young couple turns into a nightmare that haunts them. It is good, when there is a lull after the storm.

Eyes of the predator (Simile)

All we know what kind of unusual beauty Christian possesses. Gazing up at Ana, “his eyes are dark like a tropical storm” as he teases her. His eyes repeatedly indicate that Christian is a predator and he is not going to give someone his sacrifice.

Like an angel (Simile)

During the wedding, when Christian sees Ana, he tells her that “she is like an angel”. This comparison gives us to understand how Anastasia is beautiful in her wedding dress. To look like an angel means being gentle and having heavenly beauty.
