Oskar Werner

However, the main point of the film is that his viewpoint changes and he eventually becomes an illegal supporter of books. Julie Christie
In the film, Julie Christie acts as both Linda and Clarisse to show that these individuals are not as distinct as it may seem. Linda Montage is a complete conformist to the rules of society and turns her own husband in while Clarisse is the complete opposite, breaking all sorts of rules and becoming a part of the book people. Julie Christie is a famous British actress from the 1960s who has won numerous awards.
Cyril Cusack
Cyril Cusack acts as the head of the firemen, representing the government ideology that has pervaded through all levels of society and sincerely convinced people into destroying books, because it benefits all people. Cyril Cusack acted for an extremely lengthy period of time, close to 65 years, and was a well-known Irish actor.
Anton Diffring
Fabian was a minor character who appeared near the end of the film to help Montag on his journey. Anton Differing was a well-established German actor who enjoyed acting as either aristocrats or high-ranking officers for most of his production. He enjoyed representing his own country.
