Relationship to Other Books

Every Day is the first book in a trilogy. The other two books, Another Day and Someday, include overlapping characters and themes with the first book. Another Day tells the same story through Rhiannon's perspective, and Someday explores the lives of A, Rhiannon, Nathan, and "Reverend Poole" even further.

Other contemporary young adult literature could provide additional insight into the lived experiences of LGBTQ+ youth. Some examples include The Love & Lies of Rukhsana Ali by Sabina Khan, For Today I Am A Boy by Kim Fu, and We Are Okay by Nina LaCour. Additionally, Levithan's other books, such as Will Grayson, Will Grayson and Two Boys Kissing, explore LGBTQ+ themes as well.
