Wimmer's film is about our feelings being overtaken by a fascist regime, but the parallels to our world in such a way in order to speak of the many ways that we, in our civilization choose to numb our feelings. Whether by drugs granted to us by a capitalistic society or of our own choosing. Or, by allowing the ideas of a few powerful people to infiltrate so deeply that we are willing to give up our ability to think and feel for ourselves and thus give up our rights to justice and freedom. This film's heart is about us, as a society choosing to feel. To be human and to never succumb to the corruption that can infiltrate the high places of leadership in our society.
