Gucky Gown
Gown is meant to epitomize the concept of loneliness as he is a lonely man who lives by himself in the Ruins of Ronk. He spends his days mountain watching as depicted from images, perhaps waiting for someone to come along.
Wise old man
This character is perhaps a metaphor for God Himself. The wise man seems to sing, almost in a hymn, the message of the world. He tries to make Duckie appreciate his life when others are so unfortunate.
Duckie
Duckie is a metaphor for the naivety of children. Most children do not realise the wealth of having a good life and do not appreciate how much they have.
Ali Sard
Ali Sard is a metaphor for the unfortunate people of the world. Even in the modern world, vast groups of people are left in desolation. Perhaps Sard is also a reference to child workers as he spends his days working to earn a living.
Bee-Watcher
The Bee-Watcher may be a metaphor for a totalitarian government. The Bee-Watchers are all lined up watching the bees work. The lack of privacy and invasion to personal space is reflective of many authoritarian regimes over the world.
