Gender-based discrimination
The book explored multiple cases of gender-based discrimination that Ginsburg fought against in the court room, including Frontiero v. Richardson (1973), which saw lieutenant Sharron Frontiero fight for the right to claim housing and medical benefits for her husband.
The US Constitution
The US Constitution was highly sexist and gender-biased during Ginsburg's time and, in some ways, continues to be so in the present day. Ginsburg, who was driven by her desire for a change in women’s rights, fought for the basis of equality not based on one's gender but on one's actions. This biography seems to highlight the conversations she had in her journey to ensuring legislation was put in place for this matter.
