Structure:
The film version of Coraline is a vivid stop-motion animation based on the novel. Released in 2009, the film is rated PG for "thematic elements, scary images, some language, and suggestive humor." Students will compare Henry Selick's screenplay with Neil Gaiman's original book and explore how the differences between the two affect the storyline.

The class will watch the first half of the movie, stopping right after Miss Spink and Miss Forcible's performance in the other world, right...
