Why does Samantha disdain the four other women in her art class?
The four other women in the art class are close-knit friends who shower each other with affection and intentionally exclude Samantha from their circle. Therefore, Samantha's only friend is Ava, from the nearby art school. Samantha calls these women "Bunnies" because of their pride and notion of superiority. According to Samantha, these four women are not justified to exclude anybody because they have nothing special that differentiates them from the rest of the class.

Samantha knows Ava hates the Bunnies passionately because of their selfish interests. Therefore, Samantha knows that if she decides to attend the party, she will betray Ava. Ironically, Samantha decides to attend the party, and Ava feels betrayed by the person she loves unconditionally.

How does the author develop the theme of loneliness in the novel Bunny?
Loneliness is one of the primary themes in the novel. Samantha's loneliness starts when she is only 13 years old after her mother dies. In addition, Samantha is excluded from her father because he is on the run, trying to hide from creditors who are pursuing him. Therefore, the father is hardly at home because he fears for his safety. In school, fellow college mates exclude Samantha because they think she has no value in their friendship circle.
