Why does Jaz get involved with Trond Landvik?

Artemis is the setting in which the events of this novel take place. It is described as being the first city on the moon, with a small population of 2,000. This population consists of rich tourists, along with poor workers, like Jaz. It is an interesting and unique setting but is also fraught with corruption, criminality, and societal problems.
