Every person has a creative side, and it can be expressed in many ways: problem solving, original and innovative thinking, and artistically, to name a few. Describe how you express your creative side.


The objective of this school project was to create our ideal version of a school.We turned in a trash can."Our project was inspired by the Dada artists, who are known for their use of readymade (everyday objects) that were displayed as 'art.' This avant-garde movement sparked questions about the definition and purpose of art. Aesthetics were only secondary to the thoughts transmitted. Whether it confused you or made you angry, it made you feel something. Isn't that what art is about? Isn't that what school should be about? To think and express your ideas?"Behind the scenes:My group members sat in silence as we stared at our broken project. We had ten minutes until class started, but no one moved.Seven hours of hard work were now crushed under the weight of a car seat.As I gathered the pieces to throw away, I found a solution. I grabbed the trash can. It had the perfect dimensions and shape. It wasn't the best idea, but it was our only chance of passing. My group members got the memo and scavenged scraps of paper to recreate our masterpiece. We had a product.
