    Otto Dix: Visualizing the Horrors of War

    Objective:

    Students will be able to describe and analyze artistic representations of WWI

    Structure:

    This lesson will introduce students to the work of German artist Otto Dix, and help them build skills in visual description and analysis. Ultimately, students will be able to evaluate Dix's visual strategies for representing World War I and postwar Germany, and compare his methods to Remarque's literary account.
